Bangor players Mark Haughey and Iestyn Hughes taken to hospital after Glenavon defeat
Bangor boss Lee Feeney confirmed players Mark Haughey and Iestyn Hughes were both taken to hospital in his post-match media duties following Saturday’s Premiership loss to Glenavon:
Here’s what he had to say after the 3-1 defeat:
UPDATES ON MARK HAUGHEY AND IESTYN HUGHES?
"So ‘Hughsy’ took a finger in the eye and a nail in his eye, So he was getting headaches and dizziness from it for some reason.

"And then Mark Haughey just felt heart palpitations and then sort of weakened and lay himself on the ground, so we're going to have to check here now and see how he is. But it's very, very concerning and worrying.
"The positive was, I don't want to sound negative, but the positive was he walked into the ambulance. So please God, he's okay."
BBC Sport NI reported a Bangor statement on Saturday night that described both players “in A&E undergoing medical assessment. At this stage, we're unable to provide any further details. We'll share an update when appropriate”.
THOUGHTS ON THE GAME?
“I think we've played better and I don't think we've played worse.
“I think that's the worst we've been. Really, really hurtful. Shocked.
"I can't take anything away from Glenavon.
"I thought from the first minute they've done everything better than us...absolutely everything on the pitch.
"The goals we gave them could have been avoided but we just have to lick our wounds and take our medicine and hurt because sometimes I enjoy the hurt.
"And this year I'm going to try and enjoy it in some strange way.”
WHAT DO YOU PUT THE PERFORMANCE DOWN TO?
"I don't know. It just was a snowball effect.
"One person was feeling bad, the next, and it just went right through the whole team.
"I think we were lacking, especially when Mark Haughey went off.
"We were lacking that leadership and that person who could gel us back together again...but it certainly was a shock.
"I'm really, really hurt.”
