'Got every sub absolutely spot on' - Fans react to Duncan Ferguson's first game as Glentoran manager in the Irish League

Jordan Stewart’s header on 88 minutes left Duncan Ferguson celebrating a point rescued on the road from his first game in Irish League football as Glentoran boss.

Stewart left the sides level on Friday after Joel Cooper had put the Bannsiders in front over the first half.

Here’s a selection of how Glentoran fans reacted across social media to the 1-1 draw at The Showgrounds as Ferguson kicked off life in Northern Ireland across the Premiership:

Gee Dee: Respect the away point. That’ll do rightly. Wasn’t sure how we’d set up after that first half but much more like it in the second. Coleraine a very decent team. In and out of possession they don’t give you a second. We’re 2, maybe 3 quality players off being a serious contender. Let’s see what happens in January

HK Fox: Happy enough with that. That second-half performance showed that there's definitely something there for Big Dunc to build on

Rod Catton: Great showing second half last 15 minutes fully-deserved draw

Tommy Tee: Much better 2nd half, take that all day

Gary Blease: Great to hear Big Dunc got his first point for Glentoran tonight. Many an Everton fan will be keeping an eye out for future games

Tea Rick: Solid back 4 tbf and plenty of fight 2nd half

Billy McCullough: Hopefully Ferguson’s name and reputation will attract some big names to come to the Oval

@rickygfc: Fair play to the manager, got every sub absolutely spot on

@Shugs1975: Deserved that tbh, much better second half even without creating loads. It's a good result up there
