There have been many standout performers in Northern Ireland’s top-flight this term but rather naming a traditional Team of the Year, we’ve decided to put a twist on it: you can only pick one player from each side.
You have to be tactical with your effort...here’s our attempt!

5. Josh Carson (Ballymena United)
Josh Carson started his Ballymena United career on fire, helping Jim Ervin's side move top of the Premiership table in October and sits behind only Joel Cooper and Leo Alves on the league's assists chart having registered seven. Injury and suspension limited Carson's involvement through stages of 2025, but he has still registered 27 appearances and been one of Ballymena's standouts. Photo: Andrew McCarroll

6. Gael Bigirimana (Dungannon Swifts)
There are plenty of Dungannon Swifts contenders to make the team, but former Newcastle United midfielder Gael Bigirimana has played a pivotal role in midfield during what has been a historic campaign. No midfielder has made more accurate passes this season than Bigirimana (1,478) - Cliftonville's Jonny Addis (1,637) is the only player with more across any position - while he is also in the top-five for clearances. 7. Jordan Forsythe (Crusaders)
Crusaders midfielder Jordan Forsythe has been a virtual ever-present in Declan Caddell's side this season, playing in 31 of their 33 league matches and has scored five goals - his second-best return since the 2017/18 season. The 34-year-old is ranked by Sofascore as the Crues' best outfield performer of the campaign. Photo: Desmond Loughery/Pacemaker Press

8. Sean Graham (Larne)
Sean Graham has provided Larne with consistency and versatility this season, playing across a number of positions in both the Premiership and Europe. The 24-year-old has made 43 appearances across all competitions. Photo: Andrew McCarroll
