At the bottom, Glenavon have endured a difficult beginning, losing all six matches to date, while reigning Irish Cup kings Dungannon Swifts got off the mark at Mourneview Park last weekend.
In each Premiership fixture, Sofascore provides every player with a match rating out of 10 and averages their scores across the season, giving their suggestions for who have been the top domestic performers.
Here, we take a look at the 11 players they feel have enjoyed a tremendous start to the campaign.
NOTE: Players have had to feature in at least four matches to qualify and data is for Premiership only.

5. Will Patching (Coleraine, Average Match Rating: 7.46)
Will Patching's arrival at Coleraine was notable amongst a summer of impressive recruitment and he has shown his class. Only one midfielder (who will be revealed later!) has more made accurate passes than Patching (243) while he is operating at a completion rate near 91%. He helps make the Bannsiders tick and will be a crucial player throughout the rest of this season. Photo: Desmond Loughery/Pacemaker Press

6. Jacob Carney (Glenavon, Average Match Rating: 7.45)
While it's perhaps unusual to see a goalkeeper who plays for a team that has lost six consecutive games featuring on this list, it goes to show how well Jacob Carney has done at the start of his Glenavon career. The former Manchester United youngster has made 33 saves - a number which is more than double second place (16, Aaron McCarey). He is yet to keep a clean sheet, but the Lurgan Blues seem to have a talented shot-stopper at their disposal. Photo: Alan Weir/Pacemaker Press

7. Danny Amos (Glentoran, Average Match Rating: 7.43)
Danny Amos enjoyed a superb maiden Irish League campaign last term and is impressing once again. He provided his first assist for Pat Hoban in Saturday's win over Ballymena United while only Joel Cooper (11) has provided more key passes than Amos (nine). He's a source of creativity from defence and a potent threat from set-pieces. Photo: David Maginnis/Pacemaker Press

8. Jamie Glackin (Coleraine, Average Match Rating: 7.38)
Jamie Glackin scored an overhead kick against Dungannon Swifts to mark his first goal of the season last month and has been a consistent performer according to data. He starts almost every game he's available for and offers a source of creativity from midfield, supplying the likes of Cooper, Matthew Shevlin and Declan McManus.
