Kim Min-su promises to bring ‘winning mentality’ to Rangers after Ibrox transfer

Kim Min-su insists he arrives at Rangers with the “mentality of a winner” after becoming Derek McInnes’ 12th summer signing.

The 20-year-old South Korean winger joins from Girona on a four-year deal with the option for a further year, for a fee widely reported to be around £8.5million.

The move is subject to international clearance but Kim is not eligible for the Conference League play-off tie against Jablonec in Czech Republic on Thursday night, with Rangers boasting a 1-0 lead from the first leg.

However the attacker, who spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at FC Andorra, making 40 appearances across all competitions and scoring six goals, could make his debut in the William Hill Premiership clash with Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday.

Kim told Rangers’ official website: “I’m so happy to sign for Rangers. I know it’s a big club with great, great fans.

“I want to help the team to be better every day, to be a good person, and to do everything I can to help the team win everything that comes our way.

“I have a lot of excitement and I believe I have the mentality of a winner.

“I want to face whatever comes next head on and I’m going to give the club what it deserves.”

McInnes said: “We are delighted to welcome Min-su to Rangers.

“Strengthening our options in the forward areas has been a real target and focus for us throughout this window, and we believe he will add another exciting dimension to the squad.

“Min-su is a talented young player with excellent technical ability, energy and a real desire to develop, and we are looking forward to working with him.”
