Jason Meara 'happy to be racing' despite not feeling good on the bike at Landrake
It was a frustrating weekend for Jason Meara at round four of the MX1 Motul MXGB at Landrake, where the Loughbrickland rider finished twelfth overall behind winner Conrad Mewse.
Meara qualified the Moto-Cycle Yamaha sixth, then claimed tenth in race one and thirteenth in race two.

“I’m not too stressed about the results; I’m just happy to be racing,” he said.
"My riding was good, even though I wasn’t feeling great on the bike. Qualifying was really good, but throughout the day, I never got comfortable enough to push the way I normally would.

"I battled inside the top seven for most of race one before eventually finishing tenth. I didn’t have the best of starts in race two, but I made a stupid mistake and went down hard early on.
“I had to come from a long way back to finish thirteenth. A big thanks to Nigel, who had the bike running great all day, and everyone else who worked so hard all day behind the scenes.”
In the MX2 class, Glenoe’s Glenn McCormick finished eleventh overall on the Chambers KTM.
He reflected: “I felt I was riding better, but the results were disappointing. In race one, I made an ok start, but there was a small rattle in the bike throughout the race, which turned out to be a loose chain guard, and I just brought it home for twelfth.”

He made a top-seven start in race two before the race was reflagged, with McCormick in eleventh. Alfie Herron finished fourth overall in the 125 class.
Tinkerhill hosted round two of the Ulster Quad and sidecar championship. Mark McLernon was the overall winner of the Premier Quads, extending his lead in the championship with two wins and a third behind Emma Wray in race three.
“The first two races were run in good conditions, but race three was a washout,” said McLernon.
"Wherever you were at the start, that’s where you finished.”

Wray took the win from Sean Goss. Wray was the overall runner-up, with Davy Cowan third.
Thomas McNulty was the Semi Experts winner, ahead of Charlie Williamson and Mitchell Adams. In the Clubman’s class, Corey Kelly was the overall winner, ahead of Joshua Canning, with Padriag McNulty third. Harry Cole won Y1, John Joe Malone Y2, and Joe McVey Y3.
Gary Moulds and Paul Horton were the overall sidecar winners over Cameron and Kyi Addis.
