Kilrea teenager Isaac Mark eager to build on learning year in Junior Sportbike National Championship with SBR Racing
Kilrea’s Isaac Mark is eager to build on his maiden year of British championship racing as he remains with Steve Brogan’s team to compete in the Junior Sportbike National Championship (formerly Superteen Championship).
The teenager made his debut on the UK circuits last year with Team SBR and will be joined in a two-strong line-up by British racer Luca Hopkins, who was a podium finisher in 2025.

Mark won the Ulster MotoOne title in 2024 in his debut year of short circuit racing after progressing through the Irish Minibike Championship.
Last year, the young Northern Ireland rider was 15th in the Kawasaki British Superteen Championship as he got to grips with the English circuits for the first time.
“I am happy to announce that I will be back with Team SBR for this season,” said Mark. “It will be great to work with Steve and the team again.
“I have learnt a lot over the winter with Steve and this is my second year, so I know the circuits better and I feel stronger and hopefully it means that we can continue improving.
“I am excited to have a teammate and help each other along the way, I have been working hard over the winter and I can’t wait to get started.”
Former Superstock champion Brogan, whose team has secured title sponsorship from DKS Directional Drilling Ltd, said he expected Mark to be much better equipped to make further progress in 2026 with a year of British championship racing under his belt.
“I am really excited to get the 2026 season underway and chuffed to be working with Isaac Mark again this season as he has learnt the circuits now, so I expect he will be much stronger this year,” he said.
“Also it is great to welcome Luca Hopkins into the team, he showed great promise last year and was on the podium, so hopefully between both riders we can have more success this season.
“It is great to be working with young and upcoming riders to hopefully teach them, which will hopefully be helpful as they move through the classes and onto the bigger bikes. I am really looking forward to getting started and working to get both riders on the podium this year.
“Also a big thanks to DKS Directional Drilling Ltd, our title sponsor for this season, and also our thanks to John and Debbie Moss as we are grateful for their continued support. We can’t wait to show what we can do together in 2026.”
The opening round of the British Superbike Championship will take place over the May bank holiday weekend from May 2-4 at Oulton Park in Cheshire.
