Winning pigeon is Dean Pallet van lint. This hen was 3rd Open for Jimmy last year when he took 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the NIPA Open. She has now won three races. She was timed at 14.06hrs flying 159 miles.

Borough of Ballymena: The best local bird at the weekend from Roscrea was Stewart Bros who fly to The Grange just outside Ahoghill. They had 1st Randalstown on velocity having timed the winner at 13.40hrs flying 140 miles in a headwind. Surgenor Bros had the top three in Kells, Reid Bros & McCloy the top two in Cullybackey, J Eagleson & Sons top three in Ballymena. Paddy McManus has won all three races into Ahoghill and MDC Magill are tops in Harryville for the second week. In the Antrim area the best bird was in Crumlin & District with Fleming Bros recording velocity 1299 from Roscrea in a Lt Northerly wind. Stewart Bros with the top three in Randalstown were best in Mid Antrim and Surgenor Bros had 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Kells & District.

MAC Update: Mid Antrim Combine birds were in Roscrea for the third race of the old bird season and for the second week on the trot they had a headwind, birds released at 10.30am in a Lt Northerly wind. Stewart Bros who fly in Randalstown had the big early bird flying to The Grange just outside Ahoghill. Their 2 year old Blue Pied hen was a Causeway bred Staf van Reet, the hen was timed at 13.40hrs flying 140 miles. Next best were J Eagleson & Sons who won Ballymena & District and had another fantastic card followed by Young McManus & Sons, Paddy has won all three races in Ahoghill. North West Review: For the second week we had a headwind, local birds were released in Roscrea at 10.30am in a Lt Northerly wind. Hanson & Harpur have the top three places in the Coleraine Premier and also Coleraine Triangle. Davy Devenney who races mostly Alan Darragh birds was best in Ballymoney, and won 1st Section B. Tommy and Annie Tweed were best in Rasharkin & Dist and well placed in Mid Antrim.
