Damien Dempsey's Belfast show postponed

Singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey has postponed a Belfast gig originally planned for next week.

The Dubliner was set to play the Mandela Hall on June 9 but an announcement on his official Facebook page said the show has been put on the back burner.

His Belfast date, and one in Galway's Black Box (June 8), are to be rescheduled.

The announcement read: "Damien's full focus will be on being fully fit for his performance at Iveagh Gardens Dublin on July 21st. Damien is deeply disappointed and sends sincere apologies to anyone inconvenienced."
