The track was written by the legendary Bagatelle frontman who passed away recently.

The love song was a hit for the Wolfe Tones and reflects on a longing for a Massachusetts beauty; a golden-haired Boston lass; a Rose of Tralee who has gone back home.

After two stellar albums and international tours, contemporary Irish Folk-Rock group All Folk’d Up have come a long way since their inception back in 2009.

The band was formed by lead singer Pauric Mohan while studying for a music degree in Dublin. He soon brought in young-gun of the group Stephen McElvogue on guitars while drummer Szymon Dwulat keeps the band punching in perfect rhythm. Pauric called upon the services of younger brother Barry Mohan, who adds pumping drive to the band with his punchy bass lines and fantastic vocal harmonies.

All Folk’d Up offer fans an eclectic mix of classic sounds from Folk and Rock music traditions, while still sprinkling their own unique, modern twist.

Fans have become accustomed to hearing bouncing melodies, enticing lyrical stories, vintage Folk-Rock sounds with jaw-dropping banjo progressions.

Like everyone in the music business, the five-piece folk-rock combo has been affected by the Covid restrictions and again this year will miss out on live appearances at many festivals and concerts including the Cheltenham Festival and the Belfast St Patrick’s Day festival.

Pauric Mohan said he was saddened to hear the news recently of Liam Reilly’s passing. He added “He was an amazing songwriter and we wish to pay our tribute to him with the release of one of his greatest songs. Boston Rose is one of our most popular songs when we play live and as soon as the restrictions on live shows are lifted we will perform it with a little added poignancy now after Liam’s passing.”
