The fayre commences on Friday December 1 and continues on Saturday December 2, 10am-5pm both days. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to join the collection of craftmakers and artists in the galleries of the Arts Centre.

Amongst the 30 craftmakers and artists will be Terry Williams, from Peninsula Pens, who was recently selected to take part in the final of Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas on Channel 4 which will be televised over the Christmas period. Speaking about his experience, Terry said: “I was amazed when I received the call to inform me that I had won a place in the final of the show. I always believed that the pens I make are special but to win your way to the final and then participate in the filming of the show and then to travel to Devon to meet Kirstie and the other competitors was incredible.”

On Friday harpist Ruth Corry will be performing between noon and 1pm. On Saturday there will be a performance by Regent House School’s String Octet, 3-4pm. They will be covering a wide repertoire including Christmas favourites to get you into the festive mood. The event is open to all the family - children will be delighted to meet friendly stilt walkers ‘Valentine Winterbottom’ and ‘the Snow Queen’ on the Saturday, 11.30-1.30pm.

Mayor of Ards and North Down, Robert Adair, said: “This year the quality and diversity of the products on offer is even higher than before. We are extremely proud that we are able to host this event to promote and support the local talent in a way their efforts deserve.”
