Story Favourites with Real Life Animals, Belfast Zoo, March 7 The education team will be reading some story favourites and visitors will have the chance to meet the animals in real life. Join snake friends Linus, Sasha and Susie, Rose the stick insect, Sock and Legolas the giant millipedes, Goldie and Shirley the tarantulas, snails Nelly, Kelly, Shelly, frogs Froddo, Frankie and Freddie, bearded dragons George, Gecko Sanchez, or prickly hedgehogs Pi and Harry.

Girls Rock NI, Oh Yeah Music Centre Belfast, March 7 Launching a new ‘GRSNI Presents’ gig series, Girls Rock Northern Ireland is delighted that its first gig of 2020 will be an International Women’s Day special. The Rock School’s first ‘GRSNI Presents’ gig will take place on Saturday March 7, from 7.30pm in Oh Yeah (Gordon Street, Belfast). A fabulous line-up of talented performers will raise the roof in loud celebration. On the bill will be rising stars in the local music scene, each of whom has had at some point a connection with Girls Rock School NI - as tutors, graduates or volunteers, including Sash Samara, Alumna. Gender Chores, and Problem Patterns, followed by DJ sets by Sister Ghost and Heart Shaped. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Spring Community Open Day, Giant’s Causeway, March 7 To celebrate the arrival of spring at the North Coast, The National Trust is offering the local community and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the full experience free of charge at The Giant’s Causeway. This includes access to the state-of-the-art Visitor Centre, café, shop, interactive interpretation area to discover the facts around the Causeway, use of audio guides, parking, and guided tour.
