Historic Killadeas convention commences in Enniskillen with 'hope' theme

ENNISKILLEN — A landmark event in the spiritual history of County Fermanagh enters a new chapter next week as the historic Killadeas Convention commences in Enniskillen.

Running from Wednesday, 8th July to Sunday, 12th July, the meetings will be hosted at the Salvation Army premises in Halls Lane, marking a significant move for the annual gathering. Organisers expressed deep gratitude to the Salvation Army for opening its doors to facilitate this year’s series, which is built around the timely theme: “Hope for Enniskillen.”

Continuing a Rich Legacy

A spokesperson for the convention highlighted the deep-rooted heritage behind the meetings, emphasizing their continuity with past spiritual movements:

“We are delighted to continue the work and vision of William McClintock, Leonard Ravenhill, and Duncan Campbell for a genuine move of God in revival in County Fermanagh and beyond. Our theme this year is 'Hope for Enniskillen'—and this is desperately what Enniskillen needs, the hope of the Gospel.”

A Focus on Evangelism

Mirroring the passion of early revivalists, this year’s convention is placing a major emphasis on direct community outreach.

Echoing the famous words of Salvation Army founder William Booth, "Go straight for souls, and go for the worst," an active outreach team will be engaged in evangelism on the streets and visiting homes across the Enniskillen area throughout the week. Organisers have issued an earnest appeal to the Christian community to pray for the initiative, asking for "many souls to get right with God."

Key Speakers and Event Schedule

The convention has secured two anointed international ministers as the primary speakers for 2026: Rev. John Treese from Virginia, USA, and David Large from Ohio, USA.

In addition to the main nightly services, a series of special events have been added to the calendar:

Nightly Services: Wednesday 8th July through to Sunday 12th July at 8:00 pm.

Morning Ministry: Extra teaching sessions scheduled for Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July at 11:00 am.

Open-Air Rally: A public witness and rally will take place at The Diamond in Enniskillen town centre on Saturday 11th July at 2:00 pm, with all members of the public warmly invited to attend.

The public is encouraged to attend the meetings with expectant hearts, with organisers pointing to the scriptural promise in Malachi 3:10.
