US country star cancels Belfast arena gig: Cody Johnson was due to play tonight but has axed tour on doctor's orders
US country sensation Cody Johnson has cancelled a show he was due to play in Belfast tonight.
The ‘Til You Can’t’ hitmaker, who was touring his tenth album ‘Banks Of The Trinity’ called off the gig just a few hours before he was due to take the stage at the huge venue.

A concert in Dublin tomorrow night has also been axed, effectively ending his 2026 tour. He now has no more gigs lined up until some American dates next year.
In a statement, the 39-year-old said he’d contracted a “viral infection” and was under doctor’s orders not to perform.
“I am really sorry to say that I am going to have to cancel tonight’s show in Belfast and tomorrow’s show in Dublin,” he said.
“I have been doing all I can to make these shows happen, but after just seeing a doctor and on their advice, I have been diagnosed with a viral infection and advised not to perform.
“I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and with the late announcement but wanted to do all I could to try and proceed with the shows.
“I am extremely disappointed not to be able to play as I have been looking forward to the Irish shows for a long time.”
He also promised to do all he can to “come back to Ireland as soon as I can and play these shows for you all”.
“Thank you for your understanding,” he added.
