Two Caffè Nero cafés have opened at One Elmwood and the McClay Library, while Juice Jar has launched at Queen’s Physical Education Centre (PEC) at Stranmillis.

The new commercial leases were secured by property consultants Savills, working with the University’s Estates Directorate and Campus Food & Drink teams.

Ian Duddy, director of Estates at Queen’s, said the new outlets had been selected to reflect the different uses of each campus location.

“One Elmwood, the McClay Library and the PEC each play a distinct role in campus life and our student experience, so it was important that the facilities on offer were tailored to the needs of each setting,” he said.

“These popular commercial names will enhance the accessibility of food and beverage options across the campus.

“Working with Savills and colleagues across the University has enabled us to enhance convenience, quality and choice for students, staff and the wider public.”

The openings add to the range of food and drink facilities available across the university estate and are aimed at supporting the university’s wider student experience.
