Farmline now stocking HVS Liquid Gold range

“We have had lots of people coming into the store asking for Liquid Gold,” confirmed Farmline owner Alan Strain.

“I don’t think we have ever had this level of interest shown in any product before. So it made sense to have the HVS Liquid Gold brand featuring on our shelves.”

Farmline is located on the outskirts of Kinallen in the Dromara area of Co Down. The business, which has been in operation for the past 20 years, supplies a comprehensive range of animal health, dairy hygiene products and equipment lines – gates, fencing materials and feeders etc – to its growing customer base.

“We are currently working with farmers in most parts of Co Down, Armagh and South Antrim,” added Alan.

Paul Elwood, from HVS Animal Health, was a recent visitor to Farmline.

“We are delighted to be working with the Farmline team in such a proactive manner. Demand for the HVS Liquid Gold range continues to increase throughout Northern Ireland and other parts of the UK. And, obviously, we want to grow the business further in tandem with Farmline during the period ahead.”

Paul added: “Increasingly, farmers must seek to maximise the performance of their livestock. The Liquid Gold range has been developed to meet this specific requirement.”

Where milk production is concerned HVS Liquid Gold Dairy can be used at drying off, prior to first service and with problem cows. Trials, carried out last year, have confirmed that the use of Liquid Gold Dairy will encourage stronger heats and reduce problems associated with retained cleansings and post calving metabolic disorders.

HVS Liquid Gold Cattle can be given to store cattle and suckler cows, in order to boost fertility levels and growth rates. The dosage rates are: yearlings – 60 mls per head; weanlings- 50 mls per head and suckler cows and suckler cows – 100 mls per head.

Where sheep are concerned HVS Liquid Gold Sheep can be used pre tupping and pre lambing to improve lambing percentages, reduce the number of barren ewes within a flock and to tighten up lambing dates.

The dosage rate is 20 mls per ewe.

“Liquid Gold can also be given to lambs, from one month of age onwards,” Paul Elwood further explained.

“On farm experience here in Northern Ireland has confirmed that lambs treated with Liquid Gold Sheep had up to 50% more daily liveweight gain than those lambs not treated.”
