Fleckvieh dropped calves attracted a ready market and reached a ceiling of £368 at Kilrea Mart.

The inaugural show and sale was organised by the Northern Ireland Fleckvieh Club, and sponsored by Spermex agent William Gilmore.

Terence Eastwood, Cookstown, £368.

TF Duncan and Co, Crumlin, £360.

Ganaway Farms, Millisle, £357, £315 and £250.

S and M Warwick, Ballyclare, £320 and £292.

George Young, Ballymena, £315, £280, £272 and £250.

Colin Keane and Sons, Cookstown, £302, £270 and £245.

Kathleen McAleese, Cullybackey, £265.

Henry Farms, Armoy, £255, £248 and £245.

Rodney Bell, Portglenone, £235.

David and Ian Dunlop, Glarryford, sold five heifer calves at £330 each, and a male calf at £305.

The pre-sale show was judged by Sam Milliken from Aghadowey.
