Moira venue for Holstein NI's sale of 40 heifers

Holstein NI's monthly show and sale at Moira has attracted an entry of 40 fresh calved heifers and young cows.

Sponsored by Cogent Breeding UK, the event takes place at the Pedigree Sales Arena on Wednesday 20th January.

Judging commences at 10.30am and is in the capable hands of young Holstein enthusiast Andrew McLean from the noted Donaghmore-based Relough Herd. The sale will get underway at 11.30am.

Auctioneer Michael Taaffe confirmed that entries have been received from the following herds: Abercorn, Annalong, Ards, Bannwater, Carrowcroft, Edenordinary, Hilltara, Inch, Karnvaston, Kilvergan, Relough and Skybrook.

The heifers and cows catalogued are daughters of leading AI sires such as Grafeeti, Lavaman, Numero Uno, Mars Yorick, Colby, Iota, Mascol Mars, Aikman, Goldenboy, Planet, Dempsey, Gunnar and Twist.
