Eighty-six confirmed cases of COVID-19 now in Northern Ireland as nine new patients test positive

There are now 86 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Northern Ireland.

Nine new cases were identified in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

One person died in a hospital in the greater Belfast area confirmed the Department for Health on Thursday.

The deceased was described as elderly and as having an underlying health issue.

A total of 145 people have died in the United Kingdom after testing positive for COVID-19.

A total of three people have died in the Republic of Ireland after testing positive for COVID-19.
