The DUP politician said: “I am pleased to announce I have been appointed to the NI Assembly’s Health Committee.
“In light of the circumstances we have encountered this year I do not underestimate the formidable challenges that lie ahead for our health service and wider society.

“I look forward to performing this duty by directly confronting the issues at hand and asking specific and thorough questions, however difficult they may be.”
