Campbell College remembers 11 Old Campbellians who lost their lives 104 years ago at the Battle of the Somme
Eight served as part of the 36th Ulster Division, five were officers in the same battalion – the 13th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles
Seven of them have no known grave and are commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. All fought together in one of the bloodiest days in the history of the British Army.
