Anya has worked for a fashion agent for 30 years and also models regularly for ACA Models.

This County Down beauty looks stylish at all times and she gave us an insight into where she gets her amazing style inspiration from.

How would you describe your personal style?

I would describe my personal style as colourful with bold statement pieces.

If I am having a chill day I will wear comfy gym attire yet if I am going out I love to dress up in dresses with fabulous accessories.

Where do you get your style inspiration from?

I absolutely love picking up the latest style magazines and take inspiration from them. However, there is nothing better than supporting our local boutiques and taking inspiration from them.

I model for ACA Models at various fashion events and I can get an insight into what’s coming in and out of fashion on a regular basis, therefore it gives me a chance to select what suits me too.

What is the best style advice you have ever received?

Be yourself and wear what you want. My late grandmother was a fashion buyer and she always told me to be myself and wear what you think suits you.

What is your favourite fashion trend at the moment?

I would have to say statement piece earrings as they can just finish a look. Trends don’t particularly grab me as I tend to go for more classic stylish pieces.

What is the oldest item in your wardrobe ?

It has to be a Mondi jacket that I wore for my going away honeymoon outfit. It is a classic piece which I absolutely adore and I got it over 30 years ago when I was modelling for Mondi.

What is the most recent item to your wardrobe ?

The most recent is a very girly spotty dress from one of my favs - My Sister’s Closet.

Do you keep things in your wardrobe that you haven’t ever worn ?

No. I am a big believer in if you want to buy it you have to love it.

What was the worst fashion mistake ?

Thinking bold coloured tights were a good idea.

Is there a current trend you like?

I love a Chanel inspired look.

What is your favourite rule breaking colour combination ?

It has to be red and pink.

What shoes do you wear most often ?

Anything with a wedge I love.

Are your looks well planned or do they come with less thought ?

I love planning an outfit. I think it comes with my job.

What are your favourite local shops?

I love My Sister’s Closet, Belfast; Sarah Alexandra Boutique, Newtownards; Cilento, Strabane and Moi, Bangor - I love shopping in individual local boutiques.
