Burglars ran amok with mallet in Larne

Detectives are appealing for information following the aggravated burglary at a house in the Walnut Road area of Larne in the early hours of Wednesday 29 June.

At about 12.20am, a number of men armed with the mallet broke into the house and smashed windows, doors and furniture. The occupants managed to escape uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Larne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 28 of 29/06/16.
