Woman accused of throwing bottle at band members on July 13
A woman has denied trying to provoke a breach of the peace by throwing a glass bottle at band members and verbally abusing them.
Appearing at Belfast Magistrates Court on Tuesday, a lawyer for Michelle Geraldine Ewing confirmed that the 42-year-old denies all of the charges against her.

Ewing, with an address on the Beersbridge Road in East Belfast, is charged with four offences, alleged to have been committed on 13 July 2026, including doing a provocative act intending to cause a breach of the peace and possessing a glass bottle as an offensive weapon, with intent to cause criminal damage.
Counts two and three accuse Ewing of trying to damage a police cell van and the common assault of a male complainant, on the same date.
None of the background was opened in court, but the first count details that she allegedly “did an act, namely throw a glass bottle and verbally abuse band members, with intent to provoke a breach of the peace or by which a breach of the peace or public disorder was likely to be occasioned.”
In court today (Tues), District Judge Mark Hamill released Ewing on continuing bail and adjourned the case to fix a date for the contest.
While he excused her from attending the next review, the judge warned Ewing she had to attend for the contest “because if you don’t turn up, it will be a short contest and will be heard in your absence.”
