The DUP Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA said: "It really is frustrating and concerning to see scenes like this happening in Dungannon.

"I understand a man sustained injury and I hope those involved reflect upon their actions."

Mrs Foster continued: "At the minute it is particularly frustrating that large groups would gather, intent on destructive behaviour, when the majority of people in Dungannon are using social distance measures to stop the spread of Coronavirus. However at any time - virus or not, the scenes from last night are deplorable.

"The police are now investigating and have issued an appeal to anyone with information or footage to bring that forward.”

Detectives say they have arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and common assault.

They are appealing for eye-witnesses to the incident in the vicinity of Market Square to contact them.
