Man (70) wanted for alleged 2022 rape and false imprisonment in Republic of Ireland due to come before extradition court in Belfast
A man aged 70 has been arrested in the Dungannon area for extradition to the Republic to face sex offence charges.
The man was arrested earlier today; police have not named him, or said exactly where he was detained.

He is wanted to stand trial for alleged offences including rape, sexual assault, and false imprisonment which are said to have occurred in Galway in 2022.
The man was detained on an Irish extradition warrant.
The PSNI has not said how long he has been missing from the Republic.
He is expected to appear before Laganside Extradition Court tomorrow.
The PSNI said in a statement: “Today’s arrest is another example of the Police Service working closely with An Garda Siochana to locate fugitives and bring them before the Extradition Courts.
"Our message is clear, Northern Ireland is not a safe haven for any wanted persons trying to avoid arrest and the consequences of their previous actions. We will relentlessly pursue those that are trying to delay or deny justice to victims of crime."
