Man due in court on child abduction charge after 14-year-old girl’s disappearance

An 18-year-old is due in court tomorrow to face child abduction charges after a 14-year-old girl went missing earlier this week.

A child rescue alert was issued by police in the Republic of Ireland on Thursday after Svetlana Murphy went missing from Co Louth three days previously.

Last night, a PSNI spokesperson confirmed that the 14-year-old had been located “safe and well”.
