Two released after arrests over alleged politician threats
Two men arrested as part of an investigation into threats to politicians in Co Down have been released, police have said.
The men, one aged 46 and the other 36, were both apprehended yesterday after searches in the Newry area.

At the time the PSNI stated both were held under the Terrorism Act, as part of a probe into alleged threats to elected representatives in the Newry, Mourne and Down district; this evening, a police spokeswoman said they’ve been “released following questioning” and “the investigation continues”.
