Body found in Limavady river confirmed as missing man
A body pulled out of a river in Co Londonderry has been confirmed as Ian Scott, who was reported missing last week.
Police had been searching for the 56-year-old, and six days ago issued an appeal for his whereabouts.

In a statement this evening, a PSNI spokeswoman confirmed that a body recovered from the River Roe in Limavady this afternoon has been formally identified as Mr Scott.
Said the spokeswoman: “Mr Scott’s family have been informed and our thoughts are with them.
"We extend our thanks and appreciation to Community Rescue Service colleagues, and the local community for their efforts with co-ordinated searches and support.”
The 56-year-old, who was stated to be from the Limavady area, was reported missing to the police on Monday last week. Two days later officers issued an appeal for his whereabouts, stating he was last seen at 1pm on November 3 after leaving his home on foot.
