Heavy lambs sell to £94 per head at Downpatrick

At the weekly sheep sale on Saturday 20th February, heavy lambs sold to £94.00 per head, light weight stores to 380ppk and fat ewes to £80.00.

At the fortnightly cattle sale on Monday night 22nd February, a Castleward farmer topped the sale with an AA bullock at 252kg £560 (2.22ppk). In the heavy weight heifers category, a Downpatrick farmer presented a Ch at 518kg £824 (1.59ppk).
