Man shot in both legs in Belfast

Police have described a gun attack against a 17-year-old as a 'paramilitary-style shooting'.

It happened in the Ardmonagh Parade area of west Belfast – a neighbourhood not far from where the Springfield Road meets the Monagh Bypass.

Police received the report of the attack at 7.05pm

The PSNI said: “He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.”

The police called for witnesses to come forward to them or to charity Crimestoppers (0800 555 111).
