Motorcyclist dies following collision in Co Down
A man has died as a result of a road accident in Co Down.
The 50-year-old was killed when his motorcycle collided with a roundabout on the Comber Road in Newtownards around 11.40pm on Thursday.
A police spokeswoman said: “It is not thought that any other vehicles were involved in the collision. We are keen to speak to witnesses and officers can be contacted by calling 101, quoting reference 1430 04/08/16.”
The Comber Road had been closed for a number of hours during the night but has since reopened to traffic.
