Mystery of turtle spotted in lake at Co Armagh park
A dog walker, who spotted a turtle in a Co Armagh lake, believes it may have been someone’s lost pet.
The turtle was seen yesterday afternoon (Thursday) in Lurgan Park crawling along a branch over the lake.
Turtles are not native to inland Ireland.
The dog walker said he spotted the turtle on the lake close to the road heading towards Lurgan Golf Club and St Peter’s GAA Club.
