Best wishes to President Donald Trump, who made America great again
(The article can be read here: ‘If this is the end of Trump as president then good riddance,’ November 7).
As it has turned out, with Joe Biden winning the electoral college on Saturday afternoon (subject to any legal challenges on the count in Pennsylvania and other states by Trump’s legal team), Biden will be the 46th president of the United States.

Hide AdThere is no disputing that President Trump is not the conventional politician, is not politically correct, does not follow political spin doctors’ advice, he can be crude and say many off the cuff remarks about people and doesn’t care about how his image is portrayed.
But perhaps that is why his electoral base and many such as myself support him.
He is anti establishment and it is worth noting that he received far more Republican Party votes that the two previous establishment Republican candidates John McCain and Mitt Romney, who lost successive elections to President Barack Obama.
His record as president has many achievements — prior to the coronavirus the US economy was booming, unemployment levels were low, he put American jobs and interests first, he defeated Isis and terrorist warlords, with the use of special forces and drone bombs, and he appointed three Christian conservative judges to the US Supreme Court.

Hide AdFrom the first day he was elected president he never received a fair press from the left wing media with negative publicity, which continued right up to the present election where pollsters showed Joe Biden winning by a landslide when it was a very close contest, with Trump receiving over 70 million votes and the Republican Party still in control of the US senate and winning congressional seats in the House of Representatives.
The United States is a deeply divided nation with a map showing Trump winning in the region of 2,500 rural counties with Biden’s vote dependent on heavily populated suburban counties and cities.
While President Elect Biden has pledged to unite all Americans this cannot happen with a far left Vice President in Kamala Harris, whose liberal political and moral views supporting Black Lives Matter activists, abortion and same sex marriage are in direct contrast to the Christian conservative views of Donald Trump’s Republican base,
Whatever the future holds for President Donald Trump, I wish him well, as he did make America Great again and his supporters are patriotic and proud to be an American.
