It isn’t just rogue states that we need to fear

Steve Aiken’s article (‘If Putin is appeased then Iran, China and Nth Korea will draw conclusions,’ March 2) is yet another eerie reminder of 1939.

Back then it was Italy and Japan jumping on Aldolf’s band wagon. Now it’s not just the proven rogue states that we need if not to fear then to be very wary of but any other bad actors, states hostile to the democratic west or the freelance terrorists they shelter, support and finance.
