Letter: If the teaching of Christianity must be 'objective, critical and pluralist' then surely this also applies to the teaching of evolution in schools

A letter from Tom Ferguson:

So the Supreme Court has ruled that the current teaching of Christianity in controlled schools amounts to 'indoctrination', as it does not approach the subject in an 'objective, critical and pluralist manner' (November 19).

Surely this also applies to the teaching of evolution in schools. This farrago of ' unsubstantiated just - so stories', to quote the noted atheist William Provine, is taught implicitly and openly, in schools without any critique of its many problems and flaws.

Perhaps the education minister could take steps that alternative views on this atheist 'creation myth' are also part of the school curriculum. After all, what is sauce for the Christian goose, should also be sauce for the atheist gander,
