Letter: There can only be peace in Northern Ireland when the reality of its link with the UK is accepted
A letter from Lawrence Wallace:
Dear unionist readers and free thinking (Irish-Anglo).

There can only be peace and security in Northern Ireland when the reality of its link with the UK is accepted.
I have written previously that it appears to me that both the Westminster government and the Irish government are happy to support the status quo in the hope that the unionist Irish and unionist British will throw in the towel.
The politicians in NI should reach out to the residents of the Republic and encourage them to look at the quality of life within the UK and encourage them to unite with NI and enjoy the benefits of being British like the Isle of Man and Channel Islands. Both communities need to better understand what they hope for.
