The Duke of Edinburgh took a keen and serious interest in industry as vital for a country to hold itself in global markets and famously told UK industry to pull its finger out.

He also famously supported engineering.

And this is where we need to pull our finger out and get that tunnel built to Belfast to make for a fully inter connected United Kingdom where industry, blue collar employment and logistical operations can flourish.

The overcoming and management of the obstacles in the construction of the tunnel will also be a template of UK engineering excellence.

Why not call the tunnel the ‘Duke of Edinburgh Tunnel’?
