Children asked to stay away from NI Youth Club after staff member comes into contact with person with Covid-19

A NI Youth Club has closed for a ‘deep clean’ after a member of staff came into contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19.

A post on Holy Trinity Youth Centre page on Facebook said: “It has been brought to our attention this afternoon that a staff member in the Holy Trinity Youth Centre has been in contact with a person who has tested positive for the Coronavirus.

“The Youth Centre have said that the staff member has NOT shown any symptoms nor has any other member of the staff team

“We are now making contact with the Public Health Agency (PHA) to seek advice and as a precautionary measure the Holy Trinity Boxing Club will be closed until further notice.

“No boxers or officials should go to the club until we have been advised otherwise.

“We will adhere strictly to the PHA advice regarding our course of action.

“I have attached the holy Trinity Youth Centre letter regarding the issue.

“Please read thoroughly.

“The health and safety of everyone involved is paramount at this time.
