Covid-19 death toll in NI continues to rise

The latest figures, released on Friday, show the total number of confirmed coronavirus victims to have died as 92, with a further 112 people testing positive.

According to the Public Health Agency, 1,589 people in NI have been diagnosed with Covid-19 since the outbreak began.

Across the UK, 8,931 people are known to have died from the virus – an increase of 953 since Thursday.

Belfast has the highest concentration of cases, followed by the Lisburn and Castlereagh council area.
