PSNI investigation launched after death at Clay Pigeon club event
A man in his 60s has died after an incident at a Clay Pigeon shooting club event near Downpatrick.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man this afternoon.
A PSNI spokesman said the man died “after a firearm was discharged”.
Detective Inspector Will Tate said “We will be conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this death, but initial enquiries would indicate this to be a tragic accident.”
