Teenagers to appear in court after Newtownabbey creeper burglary

Two teenagers are expected to appear in before Belfast Youth Court this morning in connection with an incident in which six PSNI officers were injured when a stolen car struck their vehicles.

A 15-year-old male has been charged with burglary, attempted burglary and three counts of aggravated vehicle taking and a 16-year-old male has been charged with burglary, attempted burglary, two counts of aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop for police and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

The charges relate to incidents in Lynda Meadows in Newtownabbey and west Belfast.

Two other men - aged 17-years and 19-years - also arrested at the time have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
