Trio beat man after he answers door

It happened in the Clarawood Park area of the city on Friday.

At about 9.40pm police received a report that the man answered the door, then ran back inside followed by three men who proceeded to assault him with what police said were “believed to be hammers”.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
