Two rushed to hospital after scaffolding collapse - Air Ambulance tasked to scene

Two men have been hospitalised after scaffolding collapsed at a NI property this morning.

The incident happened shortly after 9.45am and the injured were given emergency first aid at the scene before being transported to hospital.

A spokesman from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 09:46 on Monday 4 May 2020 following reports of a scaffolding collapse incident at

Ascot Park, Knock, Belfast.

"NIAS despatched two Emergency crews, two Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) Officers and one Officer to the scene.

"The Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS crew on board were also tasked to the incident.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, two patients were transported by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast".
