Sheffield fighter Brook has jumped up two weight divisions to face the hard-hitting and undefeated Gennady Golovkin at the 02 in London.

Frampton went to New York on July 30 as the underdog and claimed the WBA belt off unbeaten three-weight world champion Leo Santa Cruz.

And ‘The Jackal’ hopes ‘Special K’ gets the job done at the 02 in London.

“I would love to see Kell Brook do it and I know a lot of people have written him off but he is a big welterweight and he’s probably like me,” he said.

“I grew out of super-bantamweight and he’s probably grown out of welterweight a long time ago, when he’s just been making it because he’s the champion.

“He will be solid light-middle but to step up to face Golovkin at middleweight is dangerous. It is a big ask but he’s got balls and you’ve got to give him credit for it.

“I see a lot of people giving him stick but he deserves credit for taking it on. It would be great if he did it and I hope he gets very, very well paid out of it but it’s hard looking past Golovkin.

“I hope he can do it and I will be willing him on,” Frampton told Sky Sports.

But Frampton knows that GGG is a serious operator and has frightening power in both hands.

“People don’t rate his boxing skills and talk about his lack of boxing skills.

“They say he’s like some sort of robot who just comes forward but this guy was an unbelievable amateur.

“He was amateur world champion, he had an incredible record and he can box when he has to.

“He can fight when he has to, he can punch hard with both hands and his shot selection is incredible.

“He’s very, very durable and he can take a shot, too. He is one of the most complete fighters I have ever seen.

“And if we just want to talk about that power, just watch him as an amateur.

“He was knocking out people like Lucien Bute. He is just class, brilliant. It is going to be a fantastic fight.”
