The playing surface was used last night for Northern Ireland’s U21 European Championship qualifier against Latvia, with difficult conditions clearly visible amid a heavy rain in Belfast over the last few days.

Glentoran have stated that no rearranged date has been confirmed as yet for the game to be played.

However, the two Saturday games between Crusaders and Glenavon at Seaview, as well as Portadown hosting Bangor are scheduled to go ahead.

The three other remaining fixtures between Dungannon Swifts vs Linfield, Coleraine vs Larne and Ballymena United vs Cliftonville were already postponed due to international call-ups.
