Former Glentoran youngster makes new Scotland loan move after Rangers recall
Northern Ireland youngster Mason Munn has been sent on loan to Forfar Athletic after being recalled from his time at Dunfermline Athletic by parent club Rangers.
Munn, who came through the youth ranks at Glentoran before joining the Scottish giants in 2022, made eight Championship appearances for a Dunfermline side managed by ex-Northern Ireland international Neil Lennon at the start of this season.
The 19-year-old’s last outing came against Ross County in October with the ‘Gers now opting to send Munn to League Two outfit Forfar in search of more senior opportunities.
Munn made his Rangers debut in last season’s Scottish Cup victory over Fraserburgh, keeping a clean sheet at Ibrox.

Donaghadee native Munn is a Northern Ireland U21 international, earning his maiden cap in a friendly against Uzbekistan in March, and was in Tommy Wright’s squad for their latest three 2027 European Championship qualifiers.
Former Warrenpoint Town goalkeeper Stephen McMullan started in the trio of fixtures against Germany, Latvia and Greece.
Announcing Munn’s arrival, Forfar posted on their website: “Forfar Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of highly rated goalkeeper Mason Munn on a temporary transfer until the end of the season.
“Mason joins on loan from Rangers. The 19 year old has spent the first half of the season on loan at Championship side Dunfermline, making eight appearances for the Pars.
“The talented youngster has also already made his first team debut for his parent side and is a Northern Ireland Under 21 international. All at the club are delighted to have Mason signed up for the season!”
