Glentoran star feels club has conducted 'some great business' in January transfer window
Glentoran star Jordan Stewart believes Declan Devine has conducted “some great business” in the January transfer window which has helped boost the club’s squad.
After the arrivals of Ben Gallagher and Jack Malone earlier this month, Devine has been active again in the past week with Crusaders duo Ross Clarke and Jarlath O’Rourke arriving at The Oval alongside Aaron McEneff.
Devine hailed the signing of former Hearts midfielder McEneff from Shamrock Rovers as a “statement” with the 30-year-old bringing European experience to East Belfast.
After Wednesday’s BetMcLean Cup semi-final showdown with Coleraine was postponed due to damage caused by Storm Chandra, McEneff, Clarke and O’Rourke could make their club debuts against Dungannon Swifts this weekend.

Their recent arrivals has bolstered a Glens squad currently sitting third in the Premiership, 13 points adrift of leaders Larne, while Devine’s men also remain in the running for Irish Cup glory, facing Drumaness Mills in the sixth round next month.
Stewart has impressed since returning to Glentoran from Crusaders last summer, scoring four goals in 15 league appearances, and he feels the club have added further quality throughout the current transfer window.
"If you're going to be successful you need a squad that not only is full of quality but also has plenty of character and I feel that is certainly the case here,” said Stewart. "Obviously a few players have moved on, but the boss and his staff have done some great business with the players they have brought in.
"There's some real quality that has arrived at The Oval this month and they are also very experienced in terms of the Irish League too.
"That will prove invaluable for us as a team as it means these guys know what the league is about and it should help them settle in here at the Glens without any real issues.
"We are in a good place and the new signings have boosted the mood even further as well as having raised the competition for places.
"I know the fans are very excited by it too, so it is all set up for a very big end to the season."
