Player ratings: How every player scored in Irish Cup final as Coleraine defeated Dungannon Swifts

Coleraine celebrated Irish Cup glory on Saturday following a 3-2 triumph over Dungannon Swifts at Windsor Park.

Here’s how every player on both teams rated in the showpiece decider:

DUNGANNON SWIFTS

Declan Dunne (6): Saved early from Cooper. Confusion with Marron allowed Shevlin to score. Denied Shevlin a hat-trick in second half.

Caolan Marron (6): Mix up with Dunne created the chance for Coleraine’s opener before hitting post at other end seconds later. Solid in defence throughout.

Tiernan Kelly (6): Covered plenty of ground and always a willing runner. Moved to right-back after McGinty was taken off and misjudged ball flight which allowed Okoro to provide Coleraine’s third.

Kealan Dillon (6): Missed huge chance to put Dungannon ahead after seven minutes. Was subbed early in second half as Dungannon looked for way back into the game.

Leo Alves (7): Constant threat down Dungannon’s right in opening stages, whipping in a number of dangerous crosses. Continued to provide a creative spark until subbed off in final minutes.

Adam Glenny (6): Another solid performance from the full-back, getting up and down the left flank. Didn’t have much of a chance to create from his trademark crosses and aerial prowess from set-pieces.

Cahal McGinty (6): Made a crucial tackle to stop Okoro as Coleraine drove forward in first half. Replaced by Corey Smith after 55 minutes as the Swifts searched for way back into the game.

Paul Doyle (7): Brilliant curled effort from edge of the box reduced the deficit. Made way for Gordon with eight minutes to go.

Danny Wallace (6): A standout performer in last year’s final, Wallace was solid once again, denying Shevlin – which would have ended the match – with a fine defensive header.

Gael Bigirimana (6): Could have been booked in first half for a challenge on Coyle. Had more of an impact as match went on, pulling the strings for Dungannon.

Sean McAllister (8): Made bright start, forcing Schofield into an early save, and created huge chance for Dillon. Continued to provide threat with his cross creating Mitchell’s goal.

Subs

Andrew Mitchell (7): Made desired impact by scoring Dungannon’s second and was a physical presence up top.

Corey Smith (6): Pace provided a threat. Booked for challenge on Cooper

Kobei Moore (6): Introduced with eight minutes to go, didn’t have much time to make real impact.

Shea Gordon (6): Introduced with eight minutes to go, didn’t have much time to make real impact.

James Knowles (6): Introduced with few minutes to go, didn’t have much time to make real impact.

COLERAINE

Ryan Schofield (8): Made two crucial saves early on from McAllister and Dillon before another to deny Alves. Could have been a different game without his interventions.

Lyndon Kane (7): Constant outlet for his side on the right and was his cross which caused Dungannon confusion for opener.

Will Patching (6): Enjoyed a brilliant debut Irish League campaign but not at his absolute best on Saturday. Kept ball moving in midfield and had a sight of goal in closing stages.

Matthew Shevlin (9): Opted not to shoot from prime position after 17 minutes but wasted no time in making up for it. Created his side’s second for Cooper with a flicked header and then netted another. Fine record at Windsor continued.

Joel Cooper (8): Rounded off an impressive debut Coleraine campaign by scoring a fine goal, doubling his side’s advantage. Big player shone on the big stage.

Levi Ives (6): Struggled early to handle Alves but then showed his attacking ability, linking up well with Okoro. Tough time when McAllister was switched to his flank. Limped off in second half.

Charles Dunne (7): Cool and composed at the back, Dunne looked comfortable and also played a couple of brilliant sweeping passes across the pitch.

Cameron Stewart (6): Solid partnership with Dunne as the pair stopped majority of Dungannon attacks. Couldn’t deny Mitchell powering past to score Dungannon’s second.

Ben Wylie (6): Continued his fine form since joining from Portadown in January, providing energy in midfield. Replaced after 65 minutes by McDonald.

Zane Okoro (7): A constant threat, linking up well with Ives on the left. Brilliant touch and delivery provided Coleraine’s third goal.

Mark Coyle (6): Had plenty of the ball, keeping Coleraine ticking throughout before limping off after 57 minutes. Will be key player next term.

Subs

Dylan Boyle (6): Replaced Coyle in second half. Kept things moved in midfield.

Rowan McDonald (6): Replaced Wylie in second half. Kept things moved in midfield.

Dean Jarvis (6): Replaced Ives in second half, couple of dangerous crosses needed to be cleared for corners by Dungannon.
