Reece Webb signs for Stephen Baxter's Carrick Rangers from Wexford
Defender Reece Webb has signed for Carrick Rangers from League of Ireland First Division side Wexford.
The 21-year-old arrives at the club following the signing of Ethan Boyle and will officially join Stephen Baxter’s side in January.
“I came up and had a chat with Stephen, talked a few things over, trained with the team and all fitted in well,” said Webb.
“I'm looking forward to playing in a new league and look forward to the challenge ahead.”
Manager Baxter believes Webb has the attributes required to become an “outstanding” player in the Irish Premiership.
“I am really excited and delighted to welcome Reece Webb to Carrick Rangers,” said Baxter.
“Reece is a very talented right-sided player who has two years senior experience at Wexford FC, after a very successful youth career at St. Patrick’s Athletic.
“Reece has all the qualities to become an outstanding player in the Irish League and we are delighted that he has chosen to come to Taylors Avenue to develop his career to the next level.
“We are looking forward to seeing Reece in a Carrick Rangers shirt very soon.”
Webb made 34 appearances for Wexford during the recently completed 2024 season.
